Portland | A Sense of Place

The City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is a huge part of what makes Portland a role model for other cities around the country, and the world. From the development of the South Waterfront to planning new TriMet stations, the bureau makes Portland a better place to live, walk and call home.

Some of our favorite Portland Plans:

• The “Snout-nosed Housing Ban” that stopped the construction of houses that had a focal point of a garage that juts out in front of the rest of the house.
