CONTEST CLOSED. A morning walk along the tiny commercial stretch on North Denver unearthed a cafe we’d love to have in our neck of the woods. Art from Kenton’s Third Thursday lines its walls, but does not nearly fill the vertical space left above from the century-old building. Classic touches of architecture from floor to ceiling make this special cafe a place you could hang out all day, with or without the kids. There is a play room in the back for the little ones, so adults can enjoy their morning cup with friends uninterrupted and, no kidding, Judi (below), reads to the kids at story time.

A newly obtained liquor license makes this a well rounded and welcomed neighborhood addition.
