Take a hike!
Option 1 is pretty common, but it’s a classic for a reason. Go out and hike, backpack, or even snowshoe through Oregon’s abundant nature. We know you’re going to try to find the big guy, but in case you don’t find him, the beauty of our forests and mountains are an added bonus!
Bigfoot in Comics
Marvel has hooked us up yet again. The first official sighting of Sasquatch comes from Uncanny Avengers #120, published in 1979. Not only is the comicverse a great place to find him, Marvel’s Sasquatch is a pretty awesome hero: He’s a Canadian physicist and former pro-football player. Like the Hulk, he had a bit of an issue with gamma rays, but he came away with superhuman strength and endurance. In case this is your first notice, you’ve got decades worth of Sasquatch comics to catch up on!
Sasquatch! Music festival
You’re not alone in your love of Bigfoot. The legend is so popular there’s even an annual music festival named in his honor. Sasquatch! happens Memorial Day weekend at Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. Pack a tent or haul your camper and bring all your best Little Bay Root Bigfoot t-shirts for a weekend of rockin’ music and Sasquatch enthusiasm.
If that’s not enough, you could head over to Great Escape amusement park to ride Sasquatch’s rollercoaster namesake. Whatever your interest, we share your love of the legend. So grab your fave bigfoot t-shirt, or maybe pick up a new one, and go share the love.
